Four Trombones updated
Sorry for the quality of these. You can hear them ok in the episode, but there's some horrifically bad center channel mixing which doesn't give me much space to clean up the audio track. -

Do you mean the weird "deja vu" moments they're getting or just the alternate timeline in general? -

How the characters meat the other character in the alternate timeline. Because it's full of them. -

Doesn't bother me. Originally they'd meet eachother at seemingly random times in their life. Now for them to all be in the same city for a few hours it's not as surprising. -

Odd episode. Certainly not one of the best. That era has passed.
How does this episode explain the numbers? It's just another use of the numbers. But it doesn't explain them.Kazoo -

Jordi's comment on the numbers was a complete lie - they weren't explained at all!
But that was one of the best episodes there is! Fantastic script, marvelous Terry O'Quinn and some incredibly good action music. (The bit of the cliffs was particularly interesting for Lost.)
And another funny episode name, "The Substitute" being the least important thing in the episode. Ben's rant about the coffee filter was hilarious. -

Don't care. I was happy with them just being the serial number on the hatch door last season. But now they're back I feel I'm owed another explanation.
Still, I do agree that was one of the best episode of Lost. I'm glad this season isn't just flashy mythology like last season and that things have calmed down a bit. -

I wonder if the alternate universe is gonna be really important for the story or it´s just gonna be a series of random enconuters between the main characters. I mean, it was fun seeing Ben as a teacher (liked the glasses) and Rose as Hugo´s employee, but seemed just a filler for what´s really important, that is what happens on the island.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Darlton did say that about mid way through the season the episodes would become one singular timeline/story, so I read that as no flashes/alternate universe stuff.
But on the other hand they've also said it's not an alternate universe/reality/whatever. So they'll either combine into one narrative or the "alternate" stuff will be over with.
Maybe it's just a "what if" story to satisfy fans who wanted a happy ending? -

Wow, how they will combine both realities is beyond my imagination.

If there´s not an alternate reality / universe, then please someone enlighten me.

I don't know if they will. It's going to be one narrative opposed to the two we've been used to throughout the shows history. So basically more episodes like Namaste and Follow The Leader (but hopefully better, because they're season five episodes, and season five is made of poo.) -

What more you want to know about the numbers??? Mathematics History ?
It's a great way to put some sense to this numbers, and associating them with the characters. The "magic" sense of the numbers can't be explained. It was a "narrative" license.
The question is...why kate is not associated to any number She was touched by Jacob too... -

All I need to know is why they were on the French broadcast. Then everything else can just fit into coincidence! -

The numbers were not mentioned in the french broadcast. it was a message of help with an account number.
But yes, there was a signal from the Island with the numbers. I guess it was a signal from Jacob to his "followers" to let know wich people were candidates in that moment.
Like " jarrah, Sheppard, Sawyer..." the list! -

Lighthouse
It was ok I suppose. Not the greatest. Shame it followed last weeks immensely strong episode. I want more Locke/Richard/Ben stuff!
I suspect next week will be a Sun episode (it's called "Sundown" for a start) and so far all the centrics have followed the season 1 pattern (so maybe after that a Charlie episode!)
Edit: Frick me, it's just dawned on me how well that episode mirrored () White Rabbit. We got Hurley telling Jack "You have what it takes" when Jack's father said the exact opposite in WR, and we also got another trip to the caves and Adam & Eve.

An okay episode indeed.
I liked the mystery minute at the lighthouse, with the images in the mirrors. That's some real LOST!
But then, the thing with Claire was a bit laughable. Not very well done I think. Also the meeting with Kate was rather amateurish?
Kazoo -

Agreed on all cases.
The lighthouse scene with the first realisation it was a mirror was the best bit. The whole Jack has a son thing was a bit lame though. Bet the mother is going to be Juliet.
