I was supposed to do a translation of a pretty hard text in order to gain some extra money (it's been a bit tough since I bought the car), and while I've already started working on it they called me to tell me that it's no need after all. Damn!

We had one of those last year here in Oslo which went on for a week or two. The stores were filled up with bottled water, and people went crazy (as boiled water tastes like crap if you just drink it as it is).I am extremely serious. -

The doctor visit revealed that my blood pressure was good, cholesterol at an all time low of 127 with a 70 good cholesterol, kidney ok but a somewhat alarming calcium level which is going to require more testing and likely another medication (that would make 8). All in all I can't complain.

Mountains. . . I have some out of my window and frankly I'm thinking of becoming a hermit there!
Ι slept in a bad mood yesterday and I woke up in an equally bad mood today. On top of that I have to get ready to go to work until 3:30 and again for 7 to 9 when the only thing I want is to stay in bed all day under my blankets together with my self pity. I don't want to talk about what happened because it's not serious it just messed me a lot. PMS I should think. Damn!!! I'll get my self together and be fine. By the way, where did you get the translation job? I'd love to do some translation work or text editing but I have no idea where to find it. Plus I'm afraid those jobs go to literature students immediately anyway... -

Hey, Life can be pretty shitty at times, and self pity can be a brilliant countermechanism (in small doses).
Nothing finer than spending a day moping around, cursing everything and everyone and indulging yourself in chocolate, coffee and crisps. If you have to work, bark at co-workers and scare strangers.
It's brilliant!

I usually try to look at things this way. If a person, place, or thing is bothering me for whatever reason it is living in my head rent free and controlling the way I feel. I still do it but most of the time I just let it go and get on with the day.
