Still no composer attached to "Ender's Game". sad

    Elliot Goldenthal would be awsome.
What's your favourite composer for this film?

    Cheers!

FilmMusicReporter.com is now reporting Horner will score it.

  2. Horner on sci-fi? It's been awhile, hasn't it? I look forward to that.
  3. Only since "Avatar", I think.

AVATAR is IMO the greatest score Horner ever did, and has quickly become one of my alltime favourites.

It's not really a pure 'sci fi', though. I'd say it's closer to fantasy in genre.
    I am extremely serious.

Here's a latest post update from an FSM poster regarding the release to the score WITCHFINDER GENERAL, it probably won't mean much to most people here but I can assure you it's a big disappointment to Martijn and myself. slant

[startquote]Just received this disappointing email from Rough Trade records in the UK:

    Hi,
Apologies for the bad news, but we have been instructed that the Paul Ferris Witchfinder General albums will now NOT be released.
The label have decided there was not enough interest and so cannot justify the pressing costs.

We have cancelled your orders and apologize sincerely.

    Regards,
    Will

    My order wasn't cancelled yet.
I'm sure it will be though.

Damn. sad That's a serious bummer.

  8. I wonder how they assessed the "level of interest"? Stores' pre-orders (probably), the buzz from messageboards (probably not)?

  9. They wanted big pre-release buzz to justify it? If other labels, like Intrada, did that, Intrada wouldn't have released almost half the stuf that they have sold out of.

Replacing a score by somebody named Edward White, whom replaced Ilan Eshkeri (no idea how far Eshkeri got).

Well, they tossed this. I'm still trying to find out who the final composer was. The trailer says one composer ,and the film's wikipedia page says Tyler Bates.

  16. Sources are all easily confirmable, as opposed to being pyschic and reading your mind, which is not possible.

right now it's only an easy mistake that could have gone by the way side, now it's just embarrasing.

    Sebastian Pille

Source for all: website news section of a guy who worked on them. He also reports "Killing Season" as recorded, but that assignment isn't new, as FilmMusicReporter already reported that back a while.
