Here, new thread. (Has it the right Roman number? dizzy It should come after XIX)

    AVATAR | james horner

Quite disappointing. Alas perhaps it's in my imagination.

    NP: Knowing - Marco Beltrami

Overall quite boring, though the last few tracks help save the score.

    NP: Mulan - Jerry Goldsmith

My best Goldsmith score ever, love every single track of it! The action tracks are especially superb and play wonderfully both in movie and on CD. The moment of sheer brilliance however is in Gratitude, the choir never fails to send chills up my spine!

I can imagine how great it'll be if JNH scored the final Potter movie. Sadly it'll probably never happen though...

NP: Star Wars IX: Send In The Clones - Ashido Tikutsu

Lovely how Levine's landmark cartoon Clones score has become the de facto Star Wars sound for a new generation. Those electronic soundscapes far better underscore the waferthin sumbolism that has become the Star Wars saga then those old-fashioned orchestral ones which simply won't do in this day and age (the need to hire a recording studio for a full two weeks is ludicrous in the age of the credit crunch. Lt's face it: there's nothing a symphonic orchestra can do that a keyboard player with two synthesizers can't do easier, cheaper, faster and better!)

    What?

NP: The Magic Of Marciano - Harry Gregson-Williams

I saw some people talking about this score on HGW thread so I'm checking it out now...

shocked I love it! Short but very beautiful. It has some similar sounds to what I like on the first Narnia score.

I thought it was Gibbs who scores season 1? Or did he score only some?
  4. Gibbs scored the miniseries. Maybe few first episodes.

I've started watching it, and his name has appeared in episodes 1-3 so far of season 1.

I've only heard the 2nd score, but from what I heard in the films, the first score was a lot better. The 2nd is probably the worst out of the three.

I think all three are exceptionaly worthy. The 3rd being my favourite.

Gibbs scored the pilot, and the first episodes
But you'll see the name of Bear McCreary appear at the end credits from the 4th of 5th episode
    So 80% is McCreary's
