The Passion of the Christ (John Debney)
I find it hard to talk about this score, it's undeniably very good but I can't exactly tell what's so good about it... This music is clouding my mind and the ability to express it.
But one thing's for certain: It's a small masterpiece ! And it enhances the film 10-fold."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

NP : THE PLANETS - Jim Meacock
This is the music to the award winning BBC TV series.
Stone me with a friggin' brick!!!! Why have I allowed this one to remain hidden amongst the rest of my collection for so long?
It's BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!
Has anyone else heard this?
Has anyone else even got it?

Lethal Weapon 3, which can be picked up real cheap nowadays.
Good album, good length. You can't go wrong with Kamen. -

Memoirs of an Invisible Man"
Sirley Walker, R.I.P.
I didn't get to finish this the other night. Only made it through the first track.
The score sits right on the edge of me wanting to like it, but it's just missing something ... hard to put a finger on what.
One of her themes here, the first thrre notes are exactly identical to a theme Goldsmith re-used from his rejected score to "Gladiator", in "The Vanishing".
There are some funny credits on the back tray card:
Music Scoring Mixers: DOUG "Don't Get Musical On Me" BOTNIK
Music contractor: PATTI "Quiet Everyone" ZIMITTI
The auricle: RICHARD "Click Dick" GRANTThe views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

"It's Probably Me" is probably my favorite Kamen song with "Armour Piercing Bullets" being one of Kamen's most aggressive and impressive action cues.

Pretty much the same as the first. If you are looking for something different check out Chris Tilton's VIDEO GAME SCORE

Arguably better than both of Silvestri's efforts. Kinda John Williamsy but not necessarily a bad thing. -

Robbins is definitely an underrated voice in late 20th century film music history. How strange that he generally never got work beyond the Merchat-Ivory jobs?A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

Indeed! That whole experience, movie and score, was very intimate and personal to me! Shame that Dallwitz never did anything of that status after that.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

That's because Dallwitz isn't a particularly good composer, IMO. The limitations of his style were well-suited to the fake Tv show of TRUMAN SHOW.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

Maybe; to be honest i haven't heard anything else by him but i thought his material for TRUMAN SHOW was very fitting.

Played:
The Legend of Zorro - James Horner
It's one of those cases when the sequel score is better than the original (which can't be said of the movie, however). I love the playfulness of the music and I prefer it to the original mostly because of the action tracks: they are more melodic, dynamic and fun.
Eragon - Patrick Doyle
It seems that many don't like this score but I think it's a very good fantasy score. It tends to be monothematic but I, actually, love that theme so I don't really mind it. And the long action tracks are the definite highlights! -

Love it too. I use to play Eragon Vs The Last Legion. Nice combination as, IMO, the second is like an extension of the former with an also memorable theme.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Not much. All I have by him is Somewhere In Time, though I've heard Kronos Unveiled was inspired by a cue of his. -
