NP: THE AVENGERS - JOEL MCNEELY
"Flight Of The Mechanical Bees" is a frikkin' awesome action cue.

That's a great track, I also absolutely love McNeely's Title theme which doesn't get enough of a workout on the rest of the album IMO.
And Anthony....DON'T WATCH THE FILMOn Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

That's THREE of us D, y'hear....THREE of us!!!
Four! I absolutely LOVE it!
count me! Five!
I watched the movie again just for powell's score!!!!
the last 30 minutes action tracks are fucking awesome!!!
Weren't you one of those who didn't like it?
Nope! I loved it since the first time..
But I have some complaintments (but I didn't want to say it because of Steven).
I think the acion stuff over uses the ankluns, and the suspense music is bland.
But It's a FUCKING AMAZING SCORE.
Thematically reach, and probably the best superhero score since batman (if you like that score, not me). -

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Harry Gregson-Williams)
Quite a good score from Gregson-Williams and some Japanese co-composers for this videogame hit. I never had anything against the MV / RC sound in particular as long as it has a thematic approach. Much of HGW music could just be categorized into the brainless and repetitive suspense score style, but not this one. In fact next to the rhythmic action there's an equal amount of touching, thoughful cues because the game goes for a more emotional story and finale rather than an action packed one. And the inclusion of the Morricone cue from 'Sacco e Vanzetti' performed by Lisbeth Scott is superb."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Ensure you do, as seasons 3 and 4 are even better.
Now we're talking about it...

What I meant was there isn't enough of it.
I'd love that shit-your-pants version at the beginning of Ji Yeon.
Edit: Infact, that's one of the incredible things about Giacchino's music - his ability to write something so beautiful but so terrifying at the same time. (I think the #1 spot has to go to the cue in "?" when that weird girl visits Eko at the airport). -

LOST 4 contains very passionate, and sentimental material. Season 1 is the richer thematic-wise and 2 is its development. Season 3 is somewhere in between, with good new themes but nowhere near Season 4's brilliance.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Season 1 is the "epic" one which introduces the main themes and several character themes.
As you said, season 2 continues this but not to the same level. I can't really get through the whole disc in one go however, and it only really picks up after "Rose And Bernard".
Season 3 is probably my second favourite after 4 because of all the experimental suspense stuff.
Season 4 to me is all the violent, mental, trombone filled stuff, which I couldn't be happier with! -

Better than DVC and A&D for me. 'Watch the world burn' is either one of Zimmer's better compositions, or a typically good piece from Newton Howard.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

Mmm.....
I couldn't go so far, but The Dark Knight is one of my all time favourites Zimmer scores because is a BIG and MASSIVE experiment.
pS: I find "Am i not merciful?" boring, i find "watch the world burn" more boring and " Inmolation" more and more boring.
NP:The Dark Knight Cd2 (Zimmer and Howard).
"bank robbery" (4 minutes shorter than the suite, and it's better and it's worst for that), "buyer beware" (I wonder how many of this is real orchestra) and "a watchful guardian" are really enjoyable.
When you are in the mood the rest of the stuff works well enought, I can see "The ferries" or "you complete me" in a movie like s7ven. -

I'd second that. I believe in order would be the best way to have the most fulfillment.
Been listening to Giacchino's Star Trek for much of today. A truly addictive score. So many great moments. Is that Spock's theme used in that new cat smell beginning at about 33 seconds?
I believe so, but I'm not positive. I love its view moments in the score. What a fantastic end credits as well. -

Absolutely. The Lost scores are just too similiar to one another to warrant buying another one rather than getting an entirely different score or album. This boy needs some bloody Goldsmith!
