NP: The Chronicles Of Narnia - The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe BOOTLEG! wink

    Scribe wrote
Yes, and its not actually the complete score. It's a recording sessions and it's not edited so there are huge sections of silence as well as one track that is corrupted and clicks horribly. Plus there are only a few interesting additional cues as compared to the album. So it is not worth worrying about wink

Indeed I found it less interesting than I expected. Some cues are still missing if I remember correctly (children running from Mrs. McReady, etc.), and almost all good stuff are already released on the official album.

By the way which track is corrupted?
(The first part of Aslan And The Witch sounds like a demo version..)

But I wish Prince Caspian complete score will float around somewhere! There are lots of good stuff missing (Reepicheep theme, Narnia Lullaby reprise, full version of Raid On The Castle...)

I'm happy that a good 60 min of both scores got a CD release, instead of a frigging "MP3 download only". I only hope Prince Of Persia will be as lucky next year.

BTW I'm going out of town for a couple of days. Will be back on Thursday.

Yes, it's his best so far, in my opinion. (I find the CD a bit overlong, though)

I think Badelt is one that differentiates himself from the RC bunch and i am saddened that people still set him aside the likes (or should i say dislikes wink ) of Ramin and co; he has produced some very, very good scores (among crap as well, but who didn't?) and he has a rather unique voice. This, the time machine, Equilibrium, Rescue Dawn, Invincible (with Zimmer) are some of his works of high quality.

"Across the River" is the one that has the clicking. But maybe you have a different version than the one I...used to have smile

    I agree about Prince Caspian!!
I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!

Battlestar Galactica Season Two (Bear McCreary)

A more varied listen, some nice texture-based cues, in short a much more coherent listening experience than Season One. And for once the percussive tracks are welcome, because there are so few of 'em. The string-based cues are interesting.

The President's Lady - Alfred Newman

This lovely little gem from Varese's Soundtrack Club went completely under the radar, and while it's no Anastasia or Diary Of Anne Frank, it is totally enjoyable.

A lush main theme, and a deeply romantic love theme pervade the score (as is Newman's style), but each cue is a little gem, in that slightly over-the-top Romantic hyperbole style that I dearly love.
The (stereo!) sound quality is top notch, especially when you realize the source is an optic one: it is flawlessly restored and remixed by Mike Matessino.

    Just lovely!

NP:Harry potter and the prisioner of Azkaban (Williams)

one of my all time favourite scores.

I love this medieval-magical touch in the whole score.

It's one of the most creative scores from Williams.

"a widow to the past" and "double trouble" themes are highly addictive, specially with harvey's flutes.

considering what it sounds like, I can totally comprehend it will be disturbing. I can assume this will function a lot better in the movie. I haven't seen it nor have I got any clue what's it about. But I'll give it a try if I find it smile
