Yup. Truly spectacular. I used P2 in my RPG sessions for all encounters with Orcs. Worked wonders.
Not quite the same as online RPG (I assume that's what you mean?), but I've played Assassin's Creed to Korngold's Robin Hood score a few times. Absolutely brilliant! Completely changes the feel of the game to more of a swashbuckle rather than a darkly oppressed religious feel it usually has.

Mike's Murder - John Barry
Such is my prodigious recent rate of CD acquisition, I've only given this one a single cursory listen since getting it weeks and weeks ago. So this is my second play. Not exactly a Barry classic, is my impression. -

Nope, not online, I´m talking about the real stuff, Pen & Paper RPGs. As Gamemaster, I always use prepared background music; it really enhances the gaming experience for the other players.
I do play Lord of the Rings Online with different music from time to time. The original game score is very nice, but sometimes, if you stay for a long time in the same part of middle-earth, it can get a bit repetitive, and then I choose something else. For example, my collection of quiet tracks from JNH scores for The Shire.
Korngold for Assassin´s Creed sounds like a strange, but certainly interesting choice. You should try some Rosza stuff then. Ben-Hur, El-Cid, or King of Kings should totally fit too, if you find Korngold´s score helpful. -

Was playing Last Action Hero - Michael Kamen
Pfff.
Guess I'm just not the biggest Kamen fan around.
I find his scores generally not very interesting, and sadly, this one is no exception.
Loads of semi-eighties electric guitar roaring, but it all sounds artificial and uninspired.
Switched to The Last Legion - Patrick Doyle
Now THIS is proper scoring! Robust, melodic and emotional stuff, with a great theme.
Honestly I feel in general Doyle is greatly underestimated by the score community at large (well. As a composer anyway.
).
Anyway, great score, and loads of fun! Exactly the stuff I like!'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

I don't know why Kamen got typecast as an action composer. I'm a big, big fan of his - but not the action stuff. He was so much better at more serious work, as displayed in his later scores, which are wonderful. -

A great theme, you say. Did you determine this on its first appearance in the score, or was it on the 12,456,925th unaltered appearance when you became convinced? -

ALBERTO IGLESIAS - che
This man's here is a hidden genius at what he does; the combination of exotic, ethnomusicological elements in his sound and emotion is both singular and captivating. While Che is more like a darker and less accessible effort than some of his previous works, still it further portrays him as one of the most original voices out there.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Did I ever say I minded monthematic scores?
As long as there's a good theme, I'm happy.
(It's the same consideration that shot Barry's Zulu into my favourites list)'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Zulu has the GREAT advantage of brevity.
I don't mind monothematic scores, but if listening to the album gives the same experience as if I'd just downloaded the main theme and listened to it twenty times, then I don't really see the point of releasing it as an album. -

On contrast to the Alberto Iglesias score which i've been playing before (CHE), his TALK TO HER (HABLE CON ELLA) score to which i am listening to right now, is a more uplifting experience, significantly more accessible but equally emotional and heart-warming. One of the best from this man; pure class.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

The films are great. Tough, disciplined filmmaking. The score's pretty subdued in the film to be honest. The first film has hardly anything and what's there is mixed low. The second film has a lot more, and while it all works very well (particularly an early cue that takes us into the mountains of Bolivia), the album impresses more. The brilliant final score track 'La Higuera' is actually a very clever edit of 3-4 cues from late in the second film, and sadly doesn't play out in the film in its entirety. (Although there was an obvious spot where I would have tried it.)A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

I was playing a little selection from Indiana Jones saga:
"Map Room" ,"Desert Chase", "the broken bridge", "Escape from Venice", "belly of the Steel", "the penitent will pass" and "Jungle chase complete".
NP:The Dark Knight (Zimmer and Howard)
This is one of my favourites scores by Zimmer. I find this dark and instrutial sound very unique and special. great sound design!
"Bank Robbery", "buyer beware" , "like a dog Chasin cars", "introduce a little anarchy" are terrific action tracks.
"A dark Knight" a mind blowing experience, the final minutes with the 2 notes motif with more powerful brass and more electronics is really cool.
PS:I love play this score when i'm driving in the midnight of the nigh in the city. -

So is pretty much everything else. Top notch action music, superb themes, emotion-filled cues... Brilliant score !!!!
Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle (Bill Brown)
Now the soundtrack of this features some great videogame music, with an epic feel to it. Thematically it may be one of Bill Brown's strongest. But due to the fact these cues are written for standalone moments and events within the game world, it doesn't have much continuity... But the music presented here is of a varied and energetic nature. The orchestra and choir does it best to keep you enthralled throughout with powerful battle music. And there are some moments of genuine beauty in the softer vocal tracks."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Given that this score was never officially released and there are numerous webrips and gamerips floating around...I am curious which version of the score you're referring to?I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!
