NP : INFLUENCES - Mark King
Great solo album from the frontman of Level 42
And if you want to be mind boggled check this clip out...
THE ESSENTIAL
...go to approximately the 3 minute mark to hear superhuman fast bass playing. ( King is very noted for his sublime ability on the bass )
On the album is the claim 'everything played in real time'.

The URL contained a malformed video ID.
Still doesn't work.
YouTube does that sometimes. I think there must be some time-based randomizer at work in address allocation.

Nothing. Who said anything's wrong? I personally would never sit down and listen to solo bass improvisations, no matter how friggin' complex and advanced they undoubtedly are. I don't like improvisational show-off music in general, it's just a matter of taste.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Well, that's more like it D, much better than your needless comment earlier.

I don't think it was a needless comment, just a compact comment which contained my dislike on the stuff posted above and i think you took it wrongly 'cause it was a direct response to one post of yours and a bass player you obviously like.

It just struck me Martijn, that I could have used this as a 'sound clip' TRUE / FALSE, an 'is this real play or not'!?

NP: CURRIER AND IVES SUITE....Bernard Herrmann. This is one of his lesser known classical works. It was written as a ballet based on the famous engravings in 1935 but never received a commercial recording until this Koch release in 1993.
