    NP: SIMPHONIE DE CLAVECINES (Armand-Louis Couperin)

    Lovely harpsichord music from the 18th century! The prolific Couperin family delivered the goods whether it was organ music or smaller ensembles.

    NP: Tan Dun: Internet Symphony "Eroica" - Tan Dun

    Just bought this off iTunes. Very engaging main theme, with some nice quotes of Beethoven. The LSO is amazing as always. Gotta love the horn rips in the last few seconds! cheesy

    NP: Suite de concert (1909)... Sergey Taneyev. Taneyev is an absolute master of counterpoint.

    Adams is a master. Perhaps the great American composer now working? (Although John Corigliano might justifiably argue with that.) The third movement - with it's long-line trumpet melody and orchestral chaos - is devastating.
