  1. And I am not saying that Zimmer is the most perfect composer in the world, D. I am just saying that a score credited to Hans Zimmer is in 99% of cases much better than a score credited to any of the group members. The question is why. And passion might be the reason between crap and decency here.

Did the guy do other documentaries outside Deep Blue, Blue Planet and Planet Earth? They're all rather excellent, especially the latter (though Deep Blue/Blue Planet has a magnificent main theme).

    Let's see.

3 major ones and one rom com. It's not that few. Look at the essence; what Kamen did with something similar to THE PACIFIC. What Zimmer did in the recent past with movies like HENRI IV or Scherlock Holmes. More importantly what would someone else do with these movies instead. Like Broughton for instance, or Gordon (the list is large).

But i started raising my eyebrow after the third potc score really; with unbearable (to me) stuff like Kung Fu Panda, Casi divas, The Simpsons Movie, Madagascar I and II...anyway, we'll see. Next subject.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

99% is a ridiculous percentage imo. I hear no passion in the scores i listed above.

Anyway, next topic, it's getting tiring for the rest smile

He only composed Sherlock Holmes after Angels And Demons . You already know that. You know the rest are projects to rise his underlings.

You didn't like SH, ok. Fine. But it's like if I say that Lord Of the Rings is bad. I'm not so pasionate about LOTR than some people here, but I can recognise there is a lot of memorable stuff in there. You don't like SH, but it's not bad (outside the movie). It's a interesting and really worked score.

Being said that, Zimmer "lazzy" projects always existed. And Say Jablonsly could have been composed SH as good (or bad) as Zimmer did is unfair and rather silly.

    And yes, better move on...

The sound of this score has something very nostalgic for me.

There's a mortuary in the thread?
    uhm

I lift my heels for fifteen seconds and there's a MORTUARY in the thread?

This place is getting stranger and stranger.

Well. At least it's not dead.

Even though we apparently have a mortuary.

    Ok...

    NP:Sherlock Holmes (Jablonsky)

    Wow! that is great!

    Just kidding...

NP: The Passion of Christ (debney)

I find the actual score more fascinating than the Simphony. I love this tribal sound directly influenced (copied) fro The last Temptations.

    Mindblowing!
