NP: "La Terre Tremblante" from IN THE ELECTRIC MIST (Marco Beltrami)

This song is one of the most moving film compositions I've heard in the last few years.

Agreed. I loved that song from the first time I heard it.

NP: Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban - John Williams

    Aunt Marge's Waltz
is stuck in my mind today... will follow it up with Buckbeak's Flight and the rest. Boy, this amazing OST shows how weak the last 2 scores in the series have been. Here's hoping Desplat will bring up the quality once again with the 7th score.

Lovely and charming, miles apart from his works back in the Media Ventures days. Quite like it.

Yesssss, although there are some second thoughts now.
It IS lovely, but those zillion 21-second cues are really annoying.

Maybe I'll just get the major tracks.

Well, as long as it keeps playing one after the other automatically, I don't have a problem with it. Though annoyingly, halfway through that nifty technical detail failed on me. Having to keep hitting the play button after every track is certainly diminishing the enjoyment.

Ah. It does the automatic-thingy again. Technics... it's as randomly unpredictable as woma... the weather.

  1. Brothers - Thomas Newman

In a lot of ways, this is typical Newman: short exercises in electronic sound design, almost no orchestra whatsoever, but still engaging nonetheless.
