This is an excellent jazzy score!

I only discovered this on Spotify today, I loved it and immediately played it again because I'm well hip me!
NP : INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS - Various composers but mostly Ennio Morricone
A good if eclectic compilation. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I offered ( for free ) to buy this for people here on this board because a record store near me had super-cheap, multiple brand new sealed copies of Water Horse.
Only Martijn went for it.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Star Wars: The Best of Space Music
By Request: The Best of John Williams and the Boston Pops
Recordings John Williams and the Boston Pops Orchestra did between 1980-1983 for the Philips label. Stellar!

Maleficent has inspired me to check out some previous JNH favourites which I hadn't listened to for years.
Lady in the Water - just as good as I remembered
Hidalgo - probably not quite as consistently good as I remembered
The Last Airbender - even better than I remembered -

There's some great tracks here ( I haven't seen the film ), I particularly love the Jacques Loussier title theme from Dark of The Sun.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

In fact, because of the above play I am now playing a Morricone classic and one of his very best Western scores...

The Last Airbender is one of my favourites by him. Speaking of JNH...
El Caballo de Agua JNH
30 minutes, if that, is all that's needed from the album. But the last section of the album, particularly 'Swimming', is Newton Howard at his best. Brilliant stuff. -

The Village - James Newton How
Very, very good. Just below Wyatt Earp for me in terms of his best (and perhaps Maleficent). -
- CommentTimeJun 1st 2014
In terms of James New Howard scores, I prefer Unbreakable, but then The Village has 'The Gravel Road', which is a go-to track when making film music playlists. -

It may in fact be my favourite Jam Newton Howard score. -

I am madly on love with Malevicent! My favourite cue by JNH is "Redemption" from Flatliners and Malevicent feels like 70 minutes of it.

Heroic Playlist
I suspect that film music is the most universal of music "genres" out there given that all of my housemates have said 'Can you put this on my USB stick?' to at least one of the tracks.
Three people is pretty conclusive in my opinion. -

Por supuesto, mi amigo. But I'm on my iPad and my laptop is all the way across the room (which is literally... LITERALLY five feet away, so you can understand my dilemma), so I did a screen grab from the iTunes remote app. Ah, technology.

Crikey. I think I've been very lucky with housemates, as most of the people I've lived with have shown an interest in the music I've played.
...but it depends what you play -

Just realised those screen grabs aren't particularly helpful since there's no album info. I was holding the iPad the wrong way. Goddammit. Fucking technology.

Waterworld - James Newton Ho
This is too long and the new age synth stuff is not for me, but it's really good all the same. -

I love that new age synth stuff from Waterworld! Assuming you're talking about the cues like "Swimming".
Although he does it even better in Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
