    I offered ( for free ) to buy this for people here on this board because a record store near me had super-cheap, multiple brand new sealed copies of Water Horse.

    Only Martijn went for it.

    Maleficent has inspired me to check out some previous JNH favourites which I hadn't listened to for years.

    Lady in the Water - just as good as I remembered
    Hidalgo - probably not quite as consistently good as I remembered
    The Last Airbender - even better than I remembered

    There's some great tracks here ( I haven't seen the film ), I particularly love the Jacques Loussier title theme from Dark of The Sun.

    The Last Airbender is one of my favourites by him. Speaking of JNH...


    El Caballo de Agua JNH

    30 minutes, if that, is all that's needed from the album. But the last section of the album, particularly 'Swimming', is Newton Howard at his best. Brilliant stuff.

    In terms of James New Howard scores, I prefer Unbreakable, but then The Village has 'The Gravel Road', which is a go-to track when making film music playlists.

    It may in fact be my favourite Jam Newton Howard score.
  20. I am madly on love with Malevicent! My favourite cue by JNH is "Redemption" from Flatliners and Malevicent feels like 70 minutes of it.

    I suspect that film music is the most universal of music "genres" out there given that all of my housemates have said 'Can you put this on my USB stick?' to at least one of the tracks.

    Three people is pretty conclusive in my opinion.
