I've worked as (film) music advisor on theatrical feature films, television series, documentaries and shorts. Factually, the works consist of providing general advice, working on the temp score, helping out in choosing a composer, ideas adopted and heard in the final score and so much more. In working for television and shorts, I have had the opportunity to select pieces of existing scores edited into the final product. There are also numerous, perhaps dozens of projects which required musical advice on a smaller scale.
